Neuralink attracted attention in April 2021 by demonstrating a monkey playing the game “Pong” using its brain-computer interface implant.

technology existed before, the Neuralink implant stood out because of its wireless functionality and the increased number of electrodes, showing a great engineering advance.

The company wanted to show how a brain-computer interface can directly interact between the brain and external equipment.

2022, the company’s original leadership and team had changed, with only two co-founders remaining.

However, by January

Gizmodo reported in 2018 that Neuralink maintains a high level of secrecy around its activities.

Although telemarketing lists details were lacking, public records showed the company expected to file for ility in San Francisco.

After that, Neuralink started research work at the University of California, Davis.

The veil of secrecy was lifted in 2019 when the Neuralink team demonstrated the live prototype at the California Academy of Sciences.

Based on research conducted at UCSF and UC Berkeley, this innovative device included ultra-thin probes injected into the brain, a neurosurgical robot for precise procedures, and an electronic system high density to define the input of a neuron.

Even though the same

The probes, which are generally made of biocompatible polyimide with thin gold or platinum conductors, BLB Directory are at the heart of trted into the brain by an automated surgical robot.

Each probe has several wires with electrodes to detect electrical impulses and a sensor area to interface with the electronic system, allowing signal amplification and acquisition.

These probes are carefully developed, with 48 or 96 wires and up to 32 individual electrodes.

There can be up to 3072 electrodes in a single formation, giving this technology a significant advance in brain signal analysis capabilities.
